We typically go to the grocery on Sundays, so Saturday is kind of like garbage day at our house. We just eat a mash up of food to use up anything leftover. Today I got the idea that I would use my ill looking fruit for smoothies on Saturday mornings. I have said before how much of a junkie I am for a smoothie but have tried to cut back fruit and eliminate protein powders for more whole foods.
So here is my first Saturday smoothie...
Super Strawnana
1 banana
1 cup fresh strawberries
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1 scoop vitamin c powder (I use this )
1 cup almond milk
Blend (add ice if you want) and enjoy! YUM
